SuperCupboard Program

 

The Bernardine Center initiated its first SuperCupboard Program in 1987,
which became the model for other such programs in the Philadelphia area.

  
SuperCupboard clients prepare
and eat lunch together each week.

The Center continues the program to assist low-income women of Chester, PA                      

              
and surrounding areas to help break the cycle of poverty. 

  • Enhance your knowledge of healthy nutrition for the whole family Receive a weekly package of food to take home
  • Learn ways to nurture yourself and develop improved self-esteem
  • Be an advocate for yourself and your children
  • Learn basic gardening, home improvement, budgeting
  • Try new recipes and eat lunch with other attendees
  • Enjoy a graduation party
  • Receive a certificate of program completion
  • Childcare arranged if requested in advance.
