Eligibility to receive food is based on need as established
by the US Department of  Agriculture. (e.g., family of four
with an annual income of less than $30,975

Bernardine Center’s Food Cupboard supplies nutritious food ….For example, if a family of four has a net monthly income less than $2,200, they qualify for supplemental food programs.

BC never turns a hungry person away empty-handed….The Food Cupboard is open on the second and fourth Tuesday evenings of each month from 5-7 PM and every Wednesday morning from 9-12 noon and serves approximately 500 persons per month….Currently, 12 persons confined to their homes are served each month.

In the past….low income families.

The Bernardine Center receives 25% of its food supply from government sources and 73% from area churches, organizations and individuals by way of actual in-kind food or monetary donations.

The Bernardine Center is a founding member of Delaware County Interfaith Food Assistance Network (DIFAN) consisting of eleven food pantries which efficiently and cooperatively serve about 400,000 persons annually.
